ISEB Courses
The ISEB Foundation and Practitioner Certificates in Software Testing are designed for Test Managers, IT Managers, Project Managers, Testers, Test Consultants, Quality Managers, Developers and User Support Staff (Foundation Certification).
The Foundation Course is the forerunner to and pre-requisite for the Practitioner Certificate in Software Testing and provides a high level understanding of testing. It covers:
- Fundamental testing principles - including the testing process
- Applying testing throughout the project development lifecycle
- Successfully using static and dynamic testing techniques
- Managing your testing process - organisational testing structures
The Practitioner Certificate gives a more thorough grounding in testing principles and covers the following areas:
- Strategies for complete lifecycle testing & testing of individual phases
- Incident Management
- Test Techniques - static and dynamic analysis, code coverage, functional and structural techniques
- Risk Analysis - identification & analysis - prioritising testing accordingly
- Test Management - policies and strategies, planning, design, defining requirements, test procedures, logging, analysing & reporting incidents
- Reviews: practical exercises in different types of reviews
- Testing Tools - selecting and implementing tools to support testing
In-house courses are available for both of these courses, leading to ISEB Certification.
